Learning to Shoot...
If you want to learn how to shoot, or how to shoot better, most clubs offer classes.
One of the most common/popular classes is the NRA Basic Pistol Class, it covers just the basics with both classroom instruction and hands on range time. This is also the class that most states accept to apply for your CCW (Concealed Weapons Carry Permit!)
This is the first class that I became certified to teach.
Shooting Competition...
There are many types of target shooting & shooting competitions that you can try. One of the most popular is the IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association)
The IDPA shoots are made up of stages which try to closely simulate real world situations where you develop your skills in using a firearm (handgun) to defend yourself.
The scenarios can be challenging and quite a bit of fun!
